School Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a full-time School Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our Cougar Mountain campus with Gersh Autism Academy. This role is an important part of our school community, serving as the first point of contact for students, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable managing a fast-paced, high-traffic environment with a positive and welcoming attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as professional liaison between school building leader visitors, parents, and staff, providing excellent customer service in person and by phone.
- Support the administrative team with scheduling, correspondence, and general office operations.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and reporting in PowerSchool.
- Prepare and organize documents, including filing (electronic and physical), photocopying, and mail distribution.
- Create flyers, newsletters, and other communication materials using Microsoft Office applications.
- Assist with purchase orders, supply inventory, and maintaining finance and expense records.
- Support event coordination and assist with planning school activities and meetings.
- Handle all student and personnel information with discretion and confidentiality in compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and organizational policy.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or administrative certification preferred.Previous administrative assistant experience in a school environment is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher).Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Professional, friendly, and team-oriented approach.Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to changing needs.Working Conditions
Full-time, MondayFriday, on-site.May occasionally require additional hours for events or special projects.Fast-paced, high-traffic office environment requiring regular interaction with students, families, and staff.Must be willing to travel to the Bellevue site as needed.Benefits for Full Time Employees
