Facility Type : Short-Term Acute Care Hospital, Level II Trauma Center

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 3x12-Hour Day Shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 5-6 shifts per 6-week schedule

Floating : May float between Med / Surg units and sister healthcare facilities

Dress Code : Solid navy blue scrubs for Registered Nurses

Parking : Free employee and visitor parking

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1690-$1810

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state; must be in hand at submission)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system

Ability to float between units and healthcare facilities

Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Commitment to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Experience with patient ratios of 1 : 6

Skills in Med / Surg nursing, rapid response / code teams, peripheral line care, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Medical / Surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Epic charting

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Respond to rapid response and code situations

Manage peripheral lines, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management

Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols

Float to other Med / Surg units or sister facilities as needed

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code
