Schedule : Every other weekend required

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,570 – $1,680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Compact RN license or Alabama Registered Nurse license

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical (Med / Surg) RN experience

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility

Ability to work every other weekend as scheduled

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to Medical Surgical patients in a hospital setting

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Administer prescribed medications and treatments

Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
