Job Description
Overview
A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining computer-controlled machines that fabricate parts and components to precise specifications. They interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring quality and efficiency in production.
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup : Set up CNC machines according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Load and unload raw materials onto machines. Adjust machine settings to achieve desired tolerances and finishes.
- Machine Operation : Monitor machine operations to ensure accurate and efficient production. Detect and troubleshoot machine malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to prevent downtime.
- Quality Control : Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies.
- Documentation : Complete necessary paperwork, including production records, quality inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
- Safety : Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
