Summary Organizational Location : This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Cyber Security Directorate located in Ashburn, VA.

Responsibilities As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for supervising a subordinate staff, and performing studies of processes and planning the organizational effectiveness in various assigned functional areas. You utilizing your expertise in both management and program analysis to serve as a trusted program advisor and analyst to senior management, identifying and solving a wide variety of problems. This position starts at a salary of $142,488.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $185,234.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $185,234 (GS-14 Step 10). Typical work assignments include :

• Conducting studies and analyses of processes and organizational effectiveness across various assigned functional areas, and providing recommendations to improve efficiency and performance.
• Managing overall program, policy development, and oversight in assigned CSD Acquisitions Branch.
• Developing strategic plans and maintaining continuous surveillance in performance areas to ensure that applicable performance parameters are identified, communicated and implemented.
• Coordinating, disseminating, and interpreting resource management directives, policies and regulations.
• Developing methodology for measuring training guidance and operational concepts to obtain concrete results in accordance with CBP policy directives.

Qualifications Experience : You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as : Assisting in the development and coordination of planning activities by preparing briefings, presentations, and participating in conferences to support executive management decision-making. Assisting in the preparation of Acquisition Plans, Performance Work Statements, Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, and Request for Quotes / Proposals that accurately and effectively support mission requirements. Assisting in preparing technical and cost proposal evaluation plans and providing subject matter input and support to team members during the evaluation process. Reviewing and analyzing contract deliverables to identify potential issues and assess alignment with contractual requirements, providing findings to senior staff. Additional Information Supervisory Probationary Period : You may be required to serve an 18 month probationary period upon appointment. Leadership Training : All newly appointed first-time CBP Supervisors are required to complete mandatory training. The training will be scheduled by the Office of Training and Development within the first 90 days of appointment. The duration of the training will include 3 weeks of in residence training in Harpers Ferry, WV. Note : This training may be waived if previously completed.
