Are you a highly skilled and resilient professional with experience managing intense behavioral episodes? We're rapidly expanding our team of dedicated Behavioral Respite Care Providers to deliver essential in-home support to clients and provide much-needed respite for their families. We're actively seeking compassionate individuals ready to make a significant impact.
This isn't just any care role; you'll be working directly with clients in their homes, focusing specifically on behavioral support, de-escalation, and crisis intervention during challenging moments. We need individuals who can confidently and safely navigate intense behavioral episodes and implement tailored behavior treatment plans.

- Behavior Technicians (BT)
What You'll Bring to Our Team :
Proven Experience : Non-negotiable experience in working with individuals who exhibit intense behavioral episodes, including a strong understanding of de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and implementing behavior support strategies.In-Home / Facility Readiness : Comfort and willingness to commute to various client homes as needed, providing direct care in diverse environments.Behavioral Expertise : Familiarity with the implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs).Certification & Training :High school diploma or equivalent is required.
DSP Year 1 upon hire (or willingness to complete if not certified) and DSP Year II within 6 months of hire.Current CPR and First Aid certification (including abdominal thrust technique) through approved hands-on instruction.CPI certification prior to working with clients or within 60 days of hire.Willingness to attend all required training courses related to providing care and services to persons with developmental disabilities (e.g., Title 17, Title 22, Regional Center specific training).Professional & Personal Qualities :At least one (1) year of prior experience providing direct supervision and specialized services to persons with developmental disabilities in a service level 4-G or higher, specifically in implementing IPP objectives.
Must be 18 years of age.Strong character with excellent communication skills (able to read, write, and speak English clearly for communication with staff, clients, families, and agencies). Ability to communicate with clients using their preferred methods (verbally in native language, sign language / home signs, or other communication systems).Physical ability to lift, bend, walk, move about, turn, and stand for lengthy periods; assist residents with daily living skills; and perform light cooking / cleaning.Computer literate with working knowledge of applications.Compliance & Safety :Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance from D.O.J. / F.B.I. prior to working with clients.
Valid Drivers License, current auto insurance, and willingness to transport clients as needed.Verified health screening, including a TB test, within one year or prior to working with clients.Knowledge and implementation of Universal Precautions, Handwashing Techniques, and Infection Control.Why Join Our Growing Team?
