GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Fabrication Shop Supervisor monitors production output, supervises staff, and ensures that products meet plant specifications and quality expectations. Responsibilities include managing inventory, ordering raw materials, increasing the efficiency of operations, and scheduling production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete daily / weekly employee time schedulesConduct breakdowns / take-offs of raw material ordersCoordinate delivery and handling processes of raw materialsSchedule and supervise the production of hardware needed for Company product moldsConduct weekly safety / toolbox talks among employeesAssigns work to department personnel to attain department objectives using knowledge of production processes, company policies, production schedules, work orders, equipment capacity, and employee capabilitiesReadily perceives and effectively responds to schedules and product flows essential to supervising highly productive, cost-effective, quality-oriented manufacturing operationsRecommends and initiates improvements to production processes, to increase manufacturing efficiencyEstablishes and controls procedures to ensure the production of conforming fabricated assembly componentsMonitors and controls established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standardsEstablishes and monitors cost control systems to achieve department budget objectivesResponsible for compliance with safety and housekeeping requirementsFacilitates and promotes company policy and Quality Improvement programs within all department workgroupsProvide training, support, direction, and guidance to department personnelProvide objective feedback for continued employee growthRecommend and administer personnel actions under company policies and proceduresSet department goals and develop an outline for achievementTo work overtime as requestedPerforms other duties as assignedSuperb experience managing fabrication activitiesSubstantial experience working in a sales-driven environmentStrong ability to oversee complex operationsAbility to interrupt and analyze technical dataAbility to work varying shiftsSolid problem-solving skillsAn understanding of inventory stages, such as Raw Material, WIP and Finished GoodsProficient in GMAW / SMAW Welding, Plasma cutting, Shears, saws and similar equipmentRead and interpret weld process according to AWS and ASME section IXAbility to understand and apply workplace safety proceduresEDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)Preferably a two or four-year college degree in a related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of management experience in precast / prestressed concrete or related industryIn-depth knowledge of construction and fabrication proceduresPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
