Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Program Management Manager to join our C-17 Program Integrated Services team. In this role, the focus will be on the C-17 development from inception through fielding -sustainment transition in addition to leading both the Material Improvement Program and Obsolescence Program. This position works across enterprise functions as a single point integrator responsible both internally and externally for successful structuring, contracting and execution of program / projects. This position includes a direct staff of approximately 7 Project Managers and a matrixed team of ~20 Project Engineers / Project Managers.

Position Responsibilities :

• Leads employees and mid-level managers working on business management activities in the area of program management
• Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives Acquires resources for organizational activities, oversees technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Manages, develops and motivates direct and matrixed employees
• Partners with matrixed mid-level managers to ensure program management best practices are understood and followed
• Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace. Understands how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understands the cultures of organizations. Applies this information in a way that contributes to the organizations strategic plan and bottom line.
• The ability to achieve desired outcomes on projects, on-time and within budget. Ability to define the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team. Ability to control and deliver project deliverables, project accounting and appraisal, and optimize the contribution of the people involved.
