As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Urology, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care under the supervision of an attending physician, RN, Lead LPN, or practice coordinator. Join our compassionate team and contribute to improving the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and accurately record patients' vital signs.
- Document key components of the patient's medical history.
- Communicate openly and appropriately with patients, visitors, and team members.
- Assist in in-office procedures under the guidance of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing.
- Conduct venipuncture to obtain blood for laboratory testing.
- Make prescription call-backs as permitted by your scope of practice.
- Prepare patient charts with relevant clinical information.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure examination rooms are fully stocked.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards set forth by AMC.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.Previous experience in a patient care setting is preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Able to present information effectively and respond to inquiries from physicians, patients, and their families.Must have a valid LPN license upon hire.Physical Demands
Standing and walking are required constantly.Sitting is rarely needed.Frequent lifting and carrying of patients or equipment.Occasional pushing, pulling, climbing, and balancing.Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching.Constantly using hands for handling and grasping.Effective verbal communication and hearing are essential.Constant eye / hand / foot coordination is necessary.Working Conditions
