    • Job Summary

    Supervises and manages the children’s area and children’s staff. Plans and presents the majority of children’s programming and class visits.

  • Plans and presents children’s programs, story times, and outreach activities.
  • Performs Circulation duties, such as checking materials in and out, handling bills and notices, placing items on hold, processing courier delivery, processing a variety of reports, and account maintenance.
  • Assists patrons with reference, computer, and equipment questions and support.
  • Serves on internal and external committees and workgroups.
  • Shelves materials.
  • Prepares bulletin boards and other displays.
  • Trains children’s library assistants and pages.
  • Prepares press releases, flyers and brochures.
  • Compiles monthly reports.

    • Work Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous library work experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
