American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Hem / Onc / BMT RN with BMT / cellular therapy experience and an active OR RN license to join a pediatric oncology unit.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a pediatric oncology unit providing intermediate level of care for patients ages 0-18, with some cases up to age 25Patient population includes leukemia, brain tumors, bone tumors, sarcoma, lymphomas, blood and immunological diseases, storage diseases, and Bone Marrow TransplantsNurses support Hem / Onc / BMT patients in other units, including chemotherapy and central line managementLevel I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated, teaching hospitalNight shifts, 3x12s (19 : 00-07 : 30), with weekend shifts requiredEpic charting system is used; experience with Epic requiredFloating required within the hospital; no floating to sister hospitalsNo call requirementsBlock scheduling is not accommodated unless otherwise postedMain responsibilities include providing intermediate-level care and specialized support for pediatric Hem / Onc / BMT cases, including chemotherapy and central line managementNurses may provide support to oncology patients in other hospital units as neededPre-start online modules are required and must be completed prior to assignmentReturn staff must have at least 6 months since last assignment at this facilityLocals are accepted at the same rate; no mileage radius restrictionsRTO (time off) must be submitted up front and is limited to a maximum of 1 weekHospital-provided scrubs are required with no prints allowed\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license is required or pending license application must be submitted prior to considerationMinimum of 2 years of pediatric oncology and BMT / cellular therapy experience requiredCertifications required : BLS, PALS, and chemotherapy / biotherapy provider card by APHON or ONSEpic charting experience requiredMust provide two manager or supervisor references from the past 24 months, with specific guidelines for former or returning staffCOVID-19 vaccination proof is required with no exemptionsFirst-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years relevant experienceNo background or license history concerns accepted\n Benefits\n
