Position Overview
The Collision Repair Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of services and repairs on vehicles brought into the shop for collision repairs. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge and expertise in general automotive repair.
- Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles brought into the shop and identify the extent of collision damage, both visible and hidden.
- Perform accurate and efficient repairs on damaged vehicles, including disassembly, repair, reassembly of mechanical parts.
- Use various tools and equipment to cut, weld, and align.
- Conduct thorough post-repair inspections to ensure the quality and safety of repairs performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members, including estimators and painters, to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry developments and technologies related to collision repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering repair related questions to estimator or front office.
Job Duties to Include, but not limited
Pre-Alignments on drop offs / diagnose any upsells.Attend daily production meetings.Quarter panel replacements.Rear body panel replacements.Use of frame machine a must.Discuss ongoing work, FWA’s, suspension, delivery, comebacks, test drives needed, upsells.Work with appraisers on supplemental suspension diagnosis.Maintain Truck 8 with plow set up, T-Rex plow / tow set up.Maintain Rapid Autotire needs, FWA, wipers, etc.Snow removal.Scrap removal FCC.Assist production when necessary- reassembly or teardown when needed.Job
