GENERAL LABORER – FORGING

The normal schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts - though overtime may be required occasionally, as an 8-hour shift on Fridays.

Day Shift : 5 : 20 AM to 3 : 20 PM

Afternoon Shift : 3 : 20 PM to 1 : 20 AM

• Note : As a union-based employer, we are unable to guarantee any shift preference following initial training on day shift. Shift preference is granted by seniority. All candidates should expect to work afternoon shift at some point following initial training.

Pay Rate : Piece rate incentive, average $27 per hour while training

Position Overview :

Canton Drop Forge, a leading producer of large, closed die forgings in Canton, Ohio, is seeking Forge Helpers – General Labor to join our team. Forge Helpers assist Hammer Operators within the forging process by preparing materials, loading and unloading parts, and operating support equipment. They ensure work areas remain clean and safe, handle hot metal components with care, and follow all safety protocols. This role supports efficient production by maintaining steady material flow and assisting with die changes, basic measurements, and quality checks.
