POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Financial Analyst, Supply Chain Finance, is responsible for taking ownership of the consolidated Forecast, Budget, and Variance Analysis tasks with a primary focus on Supply Chain. This role will need to leverage advanced Excel modeling, CKE System Resources (SAP EPM, PeopleSoft, Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, etc.), and cross-functional resources to be successful.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
May perform any or all of the following duties :
- Implement tracking of savings initiatives related to value creation and procurement optimization, serve as liaison between Supply Chain and Accounting in the reconciliation process of store-level impacts
- Benchmark supply chain costs across the broader QSR industry and analyze opportunities
- Create P&L structure to encompass key areas within Supply Chain, including breakouts of Purchasing, Distribution, and Food Safety
- Analyze product level demand across different geographies and distribution centers to enhance demand forecasting, reducing obsolete inventory and preventing product shortages
- Analyze financial aspects of contractual agreements with third-party vendors in support of ROI and mitigation of financial risk
- In partnership with Data Analytics, ensure the proper data / business intelligence environment enables insights into product level demand and related costs
- Consolidates periodic Financial Reporting Packages (Forecast, Budget, Period Close etc.)
- Translate commodity cost outlook into relevant inputs for forecasting and planning purposes, and monitor trends proactively
- Prepares and audits internal / external financial presentations
- Identifies business process opportunities and implements root cause solutions
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various contacts (internal and external)
- Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Performs other duties and / or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and / or requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS / CORE COMPETENCIES
Must possess approximately four (4) to five (5) years of any combination of experience and / or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of FinanceBA / BS Degree preferred (Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Logistics)Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business resultsMust have a strong work ethic and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive informationWORK ENVIRONMENT
