Managing Director, R&D
Red Nucleus is hiring a Managing Director, R&D to join our global team! This role can be based out of our Yardley, PA office or full-time remote in the US.

How You Will Contribute
In this position, you will be working with our Advisory team. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Strategic Management Consultant to join our team, focusing on growing strategy consulting services for the R&D operations consulting group. In this role, you will showcase your experience as a thought leader and trusted advisor to the life sciences industry. As a senior leader in the advisory team, the Managing Director achieves success by designing novel and innovative solutions for clients, securing profitable business through sourcing, selling, and leading projects, and contributing to firm growth and development. The Managing Director will contribute to setting business direction and strategy, thought leadership, and the overall growth and scalability of the advisory business.
The R&D operations consulting group specializes in process and organization change leadership and management; process optimization; system assessment, selection, implementation and maintenance; data management, migration and cleanup; master data governances and solution architecture and regulatory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Ownership and Growth
- Lead as a trusted advisor for clients; cultivate a strong understanding of clients' needs, translating these into bespoke service offerings
- Oversee the design, development and implementation of solutions to drive success on every engagement for the client
- Source from their own network, secure and lead a $3 million annual book of business; develop comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets, deliver compelling pitches, and lead contract negotiations to secure business deals
- Generate thought leadership to capitalize on industry trends and develop innovative solutions and capabilities
Team Leadership
Serve as the steward of team and company culture; foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growthDevelop and maintain a high performing global team, above and beyond individual contributions of sales and book of businessLead and develop multiple delivery teams across various accounts to successfully deliver projects with "right first time" qualityCollaborate in the continued growth and development of Red NucleusR&D Operations Consulting Leadership
Serve as a subject matter expert in the type of R&D operations activities outlined above.Demonstrate a deep understanding of the R&D operations space, its buyers, challenges and competitive marketplace of service providers.Lead and collaborate with a range of other, functionally-aligned leaders to sell and deliver cross-functional opportunities.Support hiring and training efforts of new staff.Qualifications
Education :
Degree in the Life Sciences related specialty, or related field; MBA preferred.Experience :
10+ years in management consulting, advisory and / or strategy and change management specifically for Life SciencesA strong history of successfully selling, delivering and growing consulting revenues with a track record of sourced sales exceeding at least $3 million in the previous yearDemonstrated experience and expertise in R&D operationsSkills :
