Responsibilities
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S‑corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle market to multinational companies.
- Participate in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, draft IRS responses and address other tax authority inquiries.
- Team with leaders on special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation such as accounting methods and ASC 740.
- Develop recommendations for clients and discuss strategy with leadership.
- Communicate and collaborate with specialty tax practices on complex state, local, high net worth, international, research and development, credits and incentives matters.
- Learn from direct coaching, mentoring and firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Network and build strong relationships internally and with clients.
- Support team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet professional goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or law, or a related business degree, with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and / or Bar exam in the state being considered.CPA or JD license preferred.Two (2)+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm.Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal relationships, collaboration, problem solving, leadership, project management, organization and analytical thinking.Strong Microsoft Office suite skills.Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.EEO Statement
