The Regulatory Exam Management (REM) team at Coinbase is responsible for centralized oversight of global regulatory engagements, including managing U.S. (Federal, State, and SRO) regulatory exams and supporting international exams across Coinbase entities. The team ensures compliance with the Global Regulatory Engagement Policy, monitors and tracks findings through remediation and closure, and serves as the primary liaison with regulators. By advising on regulatory requests, facilitating credible challenges, and implementing frameworks for effective exam management, REM seeks to present Coinbase positively to its regulators. Additionally, the REM team develops tools and dashboards for tracking regulatory exam statuses and findings, reports regularly to senior management and boards, and trains relevant teams on interaction best practices with regulators.

Job Duties

• Support the head of regulatory exam management with the development, management, execution, and continued improvement of the team.
• Coordinate and manage regulatory examinations, which includes identifying responsible individuals for information requests and disseminating first day letters to stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings to explain examination scope, process, roles, and regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate and summarize regulatory meetings, track request resolutions, and escalate issues.
• Review and prepare responses to regulatory requests, acting as a liaison with regulators.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address examination findings and assist with preparing management responses.
• Assist with developing policies, processes, and documentation for regulatory examinations and requests.
• Prepare personnel for regulatory meetings and communicate findings / remediation updates.
• Manage findings remediation lifecycle in Archer, ensuring validation and regulator approval.
• Produce reports on examinations, findings, and remediation for senior management and boards.
• Provide strategic advice, training, and awareness on regulatory engagements and methodologies.
• Maintain centralized repositories for examination-related documentation and remediation records.
• Maintain regulatory trends, review processes, and recommend improvements.

Job Requirements

Pay Transparency Notice : Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + equity eligibility + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)). Pay Range : $162,010$190,600 USD.
