Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

Location : Brownwood, TX

Start Date : November 10, 2025

Duration : 13 weeks

About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a night-shift travel assignment in a low-volume birth facility. This role is ideal for a clinician with strong obstetric experience who is passionate about maternal and neonatal care. You will be part of a collaborative team supporting patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.

Key Responsibilities

Manage labor and delivery processes including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum recovery

Circulate and scrub for C-sections; assist with forceps / vacuum extractions and amnioinfusions

Administer medications including magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, prostaglandins, and antihypertensives

Provide neonatal care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, cord care, and discharge education

Monitor fetal well-being using external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, and NSTs

Support breastfeeding and baby-friendly protocols

Float within scope to meet facility needs, including antepartum and ED medical holds

Shift Details

Schedule : Three 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Block Scheduling : Not approved

Weekend Requirement : Six weekend shifts per six-week period

BLS

NRP
