Position Description : The Quality Control Administrator supports the Quality Department by managing documentation, records, and follow-up activities related to product quality, Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), equipment calibrations, and inspection operations.
This position ensures compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards while providing essential administrative and operational support to the Quality Control (QC) team.
Key Responsibilities :
RMA Coordination & Follow-Up
- Receive, log, and process RMAs in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding return authorizations, dispositions, and corrective actions in coordination with Quality Assurance.
- Track and maintain RMA status through closure, ensuring all documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure timely resolution of RMA cases.
Calibration Management
Maintain and update calibration schedules for inspection tools and equipment.Coordinate with approved calibration vendors to ensure timely calibration and certification.Track calibration records, verify certificates, and ensure traceability to national standards.Support audits by maintaining and providing current calibration documentation.Inspection & Quality Support
Assist inspectors with product verification, documentation review, and data entry as needed.Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities when required.Maintain organization and compliance of inspection areas according to company standards.Documentation & Recordkeeping
Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection reports, calibration certificates, and RMA documentation.Prepare quality metrics, reports, and presentations for management review.Ensure all quality-related documentation is current, complete, and compliant with retention policies.Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or administrative support within a regulated industry.Working knowledge of aerospace and defense industry standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS0056 series.Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or Quality Management Systems preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with quality control procedures, inspection methods, and documentation best practices.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong documentation and data-entry skills for recording inspection results and maintaining traveler forms and digital records.We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, & life insurance, and 401k Retirement plan.
