Position Purpose : The Supervisor Of Clinical Operations assumes responsibility of assigned department and assumes some responsibility of the CEO in his / her absence.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities :

• Assumes a leadership role in the provision of care for patients receiving services within the unit
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position
• Supervises the smooth functioning of the unit including oversight of daily staffing
• Monitor that necessary personnel, equipment, and supplies are available
• Communicates shift / unit issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
• Facilitates daily huddles within the unit
• Demonstrates the importance of continuing education to the performance of facility
• Maintains work area and equipment in a pristine manner
• Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation
• Strives to be professional, courteous, helpful, and cooperative
• Assist perioperative personnel in the evaluation of current practice through quality and performance improvement activities
• Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders
• Participate in interviews for perioperative personnel selection
• Oversee new teammate orientation to assigned unit
• Participate in quality review including RCA's and performance improvement projects
• Assist in evaluating perioperative personnel performance and partner with CEO in the performance appraisal process
• Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team
• Use problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships
• Maintain required competencies
• Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information
• Comply with all SCA and facility policies and procedures
• Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and daily safety huddles
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility
• Performs all other duties as assigned
