We are looking for a Rehab Technician to join our team!

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements :

• High school graduate

Essential Job Duties :

The Rehab Technician is responsible for the patient set up and transportation to and from the therapy department. Rehab Tech is NOT authorized to move the patient to and from the bed and / or wheelchair

The Rehab Tech will assist the facility in maintaining the cleanliness, general maintenance and organization of the gym and rehab equipment

The Rehab Tech will employ and follow all appropriate facility infection control policies and procedures and will respect and follow OBRA Resident’s Rights Guidelines

The Rehab Tech is responsible for the appropriate copying, filing, and faxing of orders and papers as per the Supervisor

The Rehab Tech will present her / himself in a professional manner at all times including professional conduct, professional communication, and appropriate dress while in the facility

Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Physical Demands :

The Rehab Tech is required to perform a variety of duties relative to the job. The performance of these activities would place the job of Rehab Tech into the moderate heavy category of work demand based upon :

Push / Pull : The Rehab Tech is occasionally required to push / pull patients weighing up to 300lbs in wheelchairs distances up to 200 yards. This activity may be performed frequently for shorter distances.

Work environment : The Rehab Tech is required to work in a variety of environmental conditions.

Positional Tolerance : (for non-material handling and postures) :

Occasional or less than 33% of the day :  Stair climb, Sustained bending, Overhead reaching, Sustained squatting (crouching), Repetitive squatting and Sustained kneeling

Frequent or 33-66% of the day : Trunk twisting, Repetitive stooping, Repetitive Forward Reaching, Push / Pulling and Fine motor

Constant or greater than 66% of the day : Sitting, Standing, Walking, sustained forward reaching and Grasping

Pay :

14.50-16.00 / hr depending on level of experience

Experience level :

Experience helpful but willing to train to a certain extent

Schedule :

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

Work setting :

In-person

Long Term Care and Rehabilitation center

Ability to commute / relocate :

Niceville, FL 32578 : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License / Certification :

Current Driver’s License requires {may require transportation for outpatient clients}
