Job Description

The Director of Procurement leads the strategic direction and execution of global commodity strategies across direct and / or indirect categories. This role is responsible for optimizing global supply base performance driving cost efficiencies mitigating risks and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The Director will lead a team of commodity managers across regions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sustainable value and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global commodity strategies that align with business goals and market dynamics.
• Lead supplier selection negotiation and contract management for key commodities.
• Drive global sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings quality improvements and risk mitigation.
• Monitor global market trends supply chain risks and geopolitical factors impacting commodity pricing and availability.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering operations finance and regional procurement teams to ensure alignment and execution.
• Establish and track KPIs cost models and performance metrics across commodities.
• Integrate analytics automation and procurement technologies to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Champion sustainability diversity and compliance initiatives within the supply base.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global commodity management team.
