TITLE : Senior Advanced DevOps Engineer with ACTIVE Top Secret clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

RATE RANGE : $60 / hr - $77 / hr W2 (no health benefits no PTO while on contract an hour worked is an hour paid)

CLEARANCE : ACTIVE Top Secret (US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)

LOCATION : BoulderColorado80301 (NO RELOCATION PACKAGE)

HYBRID : Some flex possible but have to be on site 3 days week

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS :

Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities U.S. citizenship is required.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Senior Advanced DevOps Engineer you will :

Contribute to automation that instantiates and maintains container orchestration platforms

Automatically configure and deploy infrastructure services consisting of identity and access management network architecture application security logging monitoring deployment and more

Work closely with our team to plan major updates and enhancements to our products

In this role you will be working with critical internal and external platform consumers. Together with the team you will support successful implementation of the platform in the Cloud through architecture guidance best practices data migration implementation troubleshooting monitoring and more.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience working with or are familiar with the differences between public (AWS Azure) private (RHOSP VIO) and mixed cloud environments

Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes

Deployment or use of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as GitLab Jenkins Puppet or Chef

Experience supporting production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services) using automation

Creation or use of pipelines Ansible Playbooks and / or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from resource creation to service configuration

Effective communication and attention to detail

Strong understanding of software development process as well as software engineering concepts principles and theories

PREFERRED SKILLS

IT security practices including encryption certificates key management patch management STIG RMF or security hardening and auditing

Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services OpenStack RHOSP or VIO

Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services and / or Azure

Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes Rancher or OpenShift

Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible Terraform Terragrunt or Packer

Open source server messaging load balancing and database software (such as RabbitMQ Redis Elasticsearch)

Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX) / Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs web security mechanisms)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

Requires a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or a related Science Engineering Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
