Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring an active NJ or compact license and BLS / ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital setting on a 20-bed Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Patient population includes observation, medical-surgical, and telemetry cases

Average patient ratio is 1 : 5 or 1 : 6 based on census and acuity

Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 7 : 15

Required to work every other weekend

May float between Med / Surg Tele units according to skillset and unit needs

Uses Epic for EMR charting and documentation

First time travelers are welcome to apply

Must be available to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

RTO must be included and approved at time of booking; no additional RTO will be accommodated after booking

Navy blue scrubs required on unit

Return staff must be gone from the health system at least one year before being eligible

Modules and EPIC training will be required prior to start and annually

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1.5 years of acute care experience relevant to the position
