Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,899 per week in Columbia, SC

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 2 years minimum required License : Valid South Carolina or Multi State / Compact RN license required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have : - Open to float within the scope to meet facility needs - Must accommodate weekend shifts - Will require to work on-call as needed Description : This position is for a Registered Nurse in the ICU providing critical care for patients. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts per week. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1 : 1-2. Weekend shifts are required every other week, totaling 12 shifts during the contract. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. The role requires proficiency in managing various critical care procedures and systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to caring for patients with cardiac diagnoses and managing ventilated patients. Travelers should be prepared for potential emergency response assignments during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. Advanced skills such as central line management, care of patients on ECMO, and interpreting dysrhythmias are essential. Regular collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams will be a key component of this role. Candidates should have experience with a charting system, preferably Epic. The position supports patient care for adults and geriatrics, providing essential services in a high-acuity environment.
