We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Land Surveyor to join our dynamic Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting a variety of complex land survey projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring that all work is performed according to established professional standards and regulations. The role involves fieldwork, data collection, and analysis, as well as the preparation of detailed survey reports and maps. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to our ongoing success while advancing their own career in the Engineering industry.

Responsibilities :

1. Plan, organize, and direct work of one or more survey parties engaged in surveying earth's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, or other purposes.

2. Conduct research in surveying and mapping methods, using knowledge of techniques of photogrammetric map compilation and electronic data processing.

3. Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.

4. Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.

5. Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.

6. Determine specifications for projects, detailing the equipment to be used and procedures to be followed.

7. Conduct ALTA / NSPS land title surveys in accordance with American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors.

8. Conduct field surveys and operate survey instruments and computer equipment to collect data.

9. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.

Qualifications :

1. A bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor, Crew Chief, or Party Chief.

3. Proficient in using modern surveying equipment, GPS, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.

4. In-depth knowledge of ALTA surveys and legal principles of land surveying.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.

6. Strong communication and leadership skills.

7. A valid professional license as a Land Surveyor.

8. Ability to work outdoors under various weather conditions and walk and stand for extended periods.

9. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.

10. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
