About the Role
Ascendo is hiring a Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms that support early detection of breast cancer. This role combines technical expertise with compassionate patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
What You’ll Do
- Perform screening & diagnostic mammograms (per ACR, FDA, MQSA standards)
- Operate & maintain mammography equipment; perform QA / QC checks
- Ensure accurate positioning & high-quality images
- Assist with diagnostic procedures (stereotactic, ultrasound & MRI-guided biopsies)
- Provide clear, empathetic communication & patient support
- Maintain accurate documentation in PACS, RIS & EMR systems
- Follow HIPAA, infection control & radiation safety protocols
