RN (Registered Nurse) Overnight Supervisor

Position Title : Staff Registered Nurse 11pm- 7am

Copper Ridge is recruiting for a nurse to fill an RN overnight role in a skilled nursing facility setting. The charge nurse is a staff nurse position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervising responsibilities. Duties :

• Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess their needs to provide quality care
• Work with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or procedures
• Maintain complete healthcare records and reports including PCC being utilized according to best practices.
• Supervise, manage, and assist in training CMA’s and GNA’s on staff
• Perform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessary
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the facility
• Collaborates with DON in maintaining adequate staffing coverage
• Effectively utilizes existing manpower to limit the amount of overtime / agency needed to support staffing
• Assess work performance of nursing staff while on duty ensuring timeliness in services to our patients / residents
• Maintain security of the facility, creating an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the needs of our staff, patients, and their families
• Monitoring nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure positive outcomes.
• Encourages shift to shift communication between incoming and outgoing nursing staff.
• Reviews prospective Admissions in relation to existing nursing capabilities and ensures readiness to treat.
• Ensure that patient's attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient health condition.
• Investigates patient / family complaints and takes appropriate actions to bring to resolution.
