American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Urbana, Illinois.

Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting with Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position located in an acute care therapy department
  • Treats patients of all ages across a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels
  • Works Monday through Friday, 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM, 40 hours per week
  • Directs and supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians as required
  • Documentation performed using Epic EMR, and Epic experience is required
  • No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • Evaluates, plans, and implements individualized treatment interventions
  • Adapts care based on patient response and evidence-based practice
  • Performs patient transfers with appropriate assistance, ensuring safe body mechanics
  • Provides education to patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Completes all required documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Supervises support personnel according to regulations
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary team and involvement in patient discharge planning
  • Scrub or dress code requirements will be communicated prior to start
  • RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Must allow for background check and drug screen completion prior to onboarding
  • Returning candidates may not work more than 1 consecutive year without a 6-month break
  • No travel partners accepted

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required
  • Active Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required if applicable
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred
  • Level 1 Trauma experience is required
  • Experience with Epic charting is required
  • New graduates will be considered
