One PT One Per diem Driver Needed

Job Purpose / Function : (the main contribution of the function to the total organization.)

To correctly pack and deliver meals to clients in a safe and timely manner. To report significant changes in client's physical, emotional or social conditions.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Load containers in van each morning
  • Pick up meals at preparation site, packing them according to the provided daily packing lists
  • Alert office staff of changes in clients' status
  • Deliver meals to prearranged volunteer drop off points and / or to individual recipients not served by volunteers
  • Respect client confidentiality
  • Keep accurate records of meal temperatures, gasoline purchases, vehicle inspections
  • Clean containers and vehicles daily
  • Alert Team Leader to vehicle maintenance needs; take van to service garage for maintenance
  • Attend driver meetings
  • Cooperate with representatives from the State and Area Agency when they monitor Agency’s program activities.
  • Perform appropriate duties as designated by the Team Leader, Operations Manager or Program Director.
  • Adhere to Agency policies and procedures
  • Deliver appropriate material to clients as assigned

Education and Experience Required :

  • Current, valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Clean criminal history
  • Good physical health
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers of the program
  • Physical Requirements : Frequent sitting and ability to talk and hear. Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch and kneel. The member must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 + pounds. The member will be required to travel locally by vehicle, work in an office setting sitting behind a computer, as well as interact with clients. Required to be free from communicable diseases and work closely with clients.

    Work Environment : The noise level in the work environment is typical of any residential setting / outpatient treatment facility and ranges from low to high. Frequent interaction with individuals in the program and community.
