Description :

This position involves rotating shifts, with several weeks on night shifts and then several weeks on day shifts.

The focus is on caring for adults and geriatric patients with a variety of complex medical conditions.

The patient population includes those with acute gastrointestinal, cardiac, renal, hepatic, endocrine, hematological, and respiratory disorders.

The unit specializes in gynecological disorders and surgeries, using a multidisciplinary approach to care.

Collaboration with physicians, case managers, homecare, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and social work is essential for providing quality care.

There are 28 medical-surgical beds, including 8 progressive care beds, with telemetry capability at the bedside.

Interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias are key skills required for this position.

Candidates will need to float within their scope of practice if necessary.

Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler.

Candidates are expected to complete modules required during orientation by the end of their orientation week.
