Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a day shift Ortho Trauma Float Pool position requiring at least one year of Med / Surg experience and an active OK or compact RN license. Responsibilities Position is in the float pool covering Med / Surg with a primary focus on orthopedic and trauma patients Hospital setting with patient populations ranging from simple to complex health problems 3x12 day shifts per week Possible floating to other Med / Surg areas as needed Care for orthopedic and trauma patients, including post-surgical cases Responsibilities include medication administration, IV and blood product management, and assisting with minor diagnostic procedures Team-based environment with support staff; ability to delegate tasks appropriately 50 mile radius rule applies—local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible Documentation of all patient responses and medical interventions is expected No previous permanent employment at this facility within the past 6 months for travelers who have already completed a full contract and extension Requirements Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state is required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of one year of Med / Surg experience is required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Strong organizational, planning, coordination, and communication skills Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631962.
