Job Summary :

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our cardiothoracic team.

• Surgery, inpatient and outpatient setting to include : operating room, CVICU pre and postoperative care, and outpatient clinic.
• Monday – Friday schedule plus night and weekends with call
• First assist required for all cardiac and thoracic procedures with EVH proficiency
• 1 : 3 weekend call rotation with call pay
• Independence to cover inpatient consults, CVICU, set-down, and clinic daily.
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required.
• FL state license
• PA or NP with first assist
• Independent patient management based on physical exam, lab results, and diagnostic testing, to diagnose and treat according to evidence-based medical practice.
• Conducts and participates in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Procedures to include : chest tube placement, central line placement, arterial line placement
