Financial Analyst - Senior

Overview

Position Summary

This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and is located in Franklin, TN. The Senior Financial Analyst will focus on building / implementing automation within the Corporate Accounting & Finance team, including financial reporting and assisting with month-end close. The ideal individual will have demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Corporate Accounting by building / implementing tools to automate financial reporting and streamline month-end close (journal entries and account reconciliations).
• Develop, implement and maintain reports to support the organization accounting function as required.
• Lead or assist on special projects as assigned.
• Analyze and coordinate consolidation process for YLA subsidiaries.
• Collaborate in monthly analysis of results queries.
• Review monthly financial reports and identify reasons for variances.
• Analyze trends in accounting / financial data and make recommendations to capitalize on positive trends or reverse negative trends.
• Support groups / divisions in improving quality of financial data.
• Prepare monthly financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
• Trend analysis of corporate overhead expenses and investigate fluctuations.
• Assist in month-end close with journal entries
