A healthcare network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Inpatient Oncology team.
About the Opportunity :
- Schedule : 3 shifts per week and rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Hours : 7am to 7 : 30pm or 7pm to 7 : 30am
- Setting : Acute Care
Responsibilities :
Assess and monitor patients receiving chemotherapy, radiation, or other cancer treatmentsAdminister chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive medications safely and accuratelyManage central venous access devices and monitor for treatment-related side effectsProvide pain management, symptom control, and emotional support to patients and familiesEducate patients about treatment plans, medication side effects, and self-care strategiesCollaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate careImplement infection control measures and monitor for immunosuppression complicationsDocument patient status, treatment responses, and education provided in the medical recordQualifications :
2+ years of Inpatient Oncology / Chemotherapy experience in an Acute Care settingBachelor's Degree in NursingActive NYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseBLS, OCN and Chemotherapy / Immunotherapy certificationsExperience in one of the following settings : Cardiac, Pediatric ICU, NICU, Pediatric Hematology Oncology, Pediatric Telemetry / Medical SurgicalDesired Skills :
Experience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system
