ABOUT THE ROLE :
Under general supervision, and following established policies and procedures, coordinates institutional efforts to engage and educate students, faculty, and guests about Navigant Credit Union at campus events and activities. Works with Community Engagement team and AVP, Financial Education to assist with additional program support and coordination.
WHAT YOU WILL DO : (in descending order of importance)
- Coordinates and manages event tabling for on-campus programs and activities, including set-up, staffing, handing out of promotional materials and giveaway items, discussion of Navigant products and services with students, faculty, alumni and fans. Breaks-down tables, banners and other equipment upon the conclusion of events.
- Collaborates with the Marketing department on the development of promotional materials and utilization of social media for building awareness of Navigant's on-campus activities.
- Facilitates additional Navigant Credit Union employee representation at University on-campus branding and community engagement activations.
- Assists with scheduling of on-site appointments and financial education programs.
- Assists with other financial education program coordination and logistical management.
- Represents Navigant Credit Union at other community engagement sponsored programs and activities in local markets.
- Meets with Community Engagement and Marketing leadership to provide insights and feedback for improved product and branding to Bryant students, faculty and alumni.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the AVP, Financial Education or SVP, CRBXO
QUALIFICATIONS : Education
BA / BS candidate in Marketing, business or recently obtained their degree.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge :
Must have evidence of education related to Marketing. Understanding the operations of credit union or financial institutions is a plus.Experience or educational background in product promotion, sales and public speaking is a plus. Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is also a plus.Must have evidence of completion of a basic financial literacy course or ability to complete a basic financial literacy course upon hire.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.Must be motivatedto proactively engage members of the community to promote products and services.Must have excellent organizational skills and effectively manage schedules and logistics.Must have the ability to communicate information in an organized manner, clearly and concisely.Must have the ability to manage multiple projects / priorities simultaneously with an effective outcome.Must possess strong service orientation skills in alignment with the credit union's mission and core values.Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills required.Ability to function in both commercial office and community event environments and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to fax, copier, telephone, etc. Some travel required.
