Job descriptionWork in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit Provides care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and well newborn patients starting from 20 weeks gestation and post-op GYN patients Expected shift is 12-hour nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend shifts required, typically 2-4 per 6 week schedule, with Friday and Saturday nights considered as weekend shifts Holiday coverage, including Labor Day, is required Staffed primarily with RNs Nurse-to-patient ratios : 1 : 1 for active labor, 1 : 2 for early labor without epidural or Pitocin, 1 : 2-3 for antepartum, 1 : 6 for moms or well babies, and 1 : 6 for Mother / Baby care Duties include caring for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, as well as assisting with Cesarean Sections Care for post-op GYN and antepartum patients as needed Scrubs are provided by the facility Covers patients who are of childbearing age Candidates must be prepared to work as part of an RN-focused team Active TN or compact state RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a similar setting Prior travel nursing experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NRP Skilled in circulating Cesarean Sections, postpartum, and newborn care Familiarity with couplet care required Experience scrubbing or assisting in Cesarean Sections preferred High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
