JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Prepare medication pursuant to a valid prescription in a manner consistent with state and federal regulatory requirements and departmental policy.
- Consult with the Pharmacist, administration and other personnel. Initiate appropriate action to correct problem areas and assist with/support interactions between pharmacy personnel, and customers.
- Participate actively in the development, maintenance, and control of drug Comply with and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Supervise when needed the maintenance of appropriate stock levels.
- Support the adjudication of all prescription claims.
- Continuously participate in and support inspection of the pharmacy to insure that outdated, improperly stored, or excessive medications have been removed from inventory.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Experience:
- At least two years’ experience required.
- Experience in long-term care institutional
pharmacy preferred. - Experience in computer operations, unit dose and blister pack
dispensing systems, IV admixture preferred.
Education and Training:
- Certification as pharmacy technician preferred.
- High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required.
C. License, Certification & Registration:
- Any certifications must be current in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Must have
valid driver’s license.
D. Other Requirements:
- Must demonstrate ability to work independently, without direct supervision,
within established policies. - Must be competent with, or possess the skills necessary to quickly assimilate all aspect
of the computerized dispensing system at IntegriScript. - Must have demonstrated effective skills both in writing and verbal communication.
- Must have effective interpersonal skills.
- Must be able and willing to travel to customers/facilities as needed

Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Scheduled Shift: Day or Night available
