Job Description
Step into a day where your expertise keeps production moving
You arrive equipped with a deep command of mechanical and electrical systems. As the floor comes alive, you move from a conveyor lubrication check to a gearbox rebuild plan, then pivot to a controls issue on a high-speed line. Reading electrical schematics, you trace a 480V, 3-phase circuit to a VFD driving an AC motor, validate PLC I / O, and verify a photo eye sensor that’s tripping a safety interlock. Whether solo or shoulder-to-shoulder with a teammate, you apply lockout / tagout, follow OSHA protocols, and make decisions that reduce downtime and elevate reliability.
What you’ll take on
- Execute advanced mechanical work : valve replacements, conveyor chain and bearing repairs, gearbox rebuilds, and lubrication system maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to install, troubleshoot, and maintain 480V, 3-phase power and control systems.
- Diagnose and repair high-speed production assets, including AC / DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and related control architectures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation and safety systems such as inductive proximity / photo eye sensors and limit switches.
- Support—and when needed, lead—work on boiler and ammonia refrigeration systems (prior experience preferred).
- Operate safely and independently or collaboratively while adhering to OSHA and plant safety practices.
- Be available for off-shifts, weekend work, and emergency call-ins to support continuous operations.
