Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate company service vehicles. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Local candidates preferred; open to individuals willing to relocate at their own expense. Industrial or manufacturing facility maintenance background. Familiarity with HVAC, building automation, or environmental control systems. Experience using CMMS or preventive maintenance software.

Refrigeration Technician
Location : North Chicago, IL 60064
Pay : $37–$39 / hour
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM
Position Summary :
The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems and related facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position supports multiple sites within the North Chicago area and plays a key role in maintaining compliance, safety, and comfort across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial refrigeration systems (compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, etc.).
- Maintain and inspect refrigeration and facility systems to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions; replace defective parts and calibrate components.
- Document all work performed using maintenance logs or CMMS tools.
- Travel between local sites using company service vehicles.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure optimal system performance.
- Support energy efficiency and reliability initiatives as assigned.
