Job description

A garage technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the fleet tire program, as well as other company assets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Operate tire machine for mounting and dismounting tires

Install and remove mounted tires on company trucks, cars, and in addition to transporting them back and forth from the main building

Stack tires in an appropriate manner

Help maintain tire inventory in the tire and trailer shop

Perform lot inspections

Complete required maintenance paperwork including vehicle write ups and work orders

Maintain the shop area in a clean, safe, and professional manner

Apply lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE

High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience

Ability to lift 75 pounds as needed

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to attain Class A CDL (training made available)

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

Demonstrated aptitude in PC / laptop computer skills.

General mechanical abilities.

Desire to be a strong team player working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Valid Class A CDL

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Schedule : Wed-Sat 1 : 30pm-12am

Work both inside and outside in all weather conditions

  • Regular moving and lifting of heavy objects and machinery up to 75 pounds
