Supervisor I - Lead Distribution
The overall purpose and objective of this position includes but is not limited to the following :
- Supervision of the truck loading / line selecting process to ensure quality loads.
- Assist in the process to ensure that all loads are secure and properly sealed.
- Help train new employees on the proper techniques and procedures.
- Oversee set-up at the start of the shift and clean-up at the end of the shift.
- Help with pallet loading when needed and ensure all pallets are secured properly.
- The shift starts at 4 : 00pm and it ends when the job is complete.
- Employee will be required to operate a forklift.
- Learn entire operation and cross train in other areas as needed.
- Repetitive, heavy lifting required.
- Ensure case mispicks, overages and shortages are kept to a minimum.
- Oversee the handling and recording of all broken product throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure that the conveyor is being ran at max productivity (loader delay etc.)
- Communicate well with Management and co-workers in order to shift manpower to needed areas.
- Review production daily with management and discuss any issues.
- Use all available technology to get the best results.
- Participation in the monthly inventory process (when needed)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensure all safety rules are being abide by before, during and after the shift.
- Open and close the facility.
- May require safely removing case(s) from stopped conveyor lines at heights of up to 30 feet while using MHE to do so.
- Shift starts at 4p.m. and ends when job is complete.
- Warehouse environment subject to change (I.E. weather, dust, fumes).
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma / GED equivalent required
- Heavy and repetitive lifting of 50 lbs minimum required
- Attention to detail
- Forklift experience a must
- Ability to safely move around warehouse on forklift equipment
- 2 years previous warehouse supervisory experience preferred
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to report on time
- Must be computer literate
- Have very good product recognition skills
- Must to able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks).
- Motor Vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record :
Cannot have more than two (2) : moving violations and / or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)Cannot have more than one (1) : speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) yearsCannot have a major violation such as : DUI / DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and / or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) yearsDrug Free WorkplaceEOEBenefits Include :
