Senior Systems Engineer - TS / SCI

Location : Springfield, VA (ONSITE 5 Days)

Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining our critical IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage core infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Administer and maintain Windows Server operating systems, including patching, Group Policy, and accreditation.
• Manage and support CI / CD pipelines and version control system using GitLab.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, providing support and guidance to junior team members.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Manage and resolve technical issues reported through Service+ trouble ticket management system, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related technical degree required and 5+ years' experience with system administration, server patching and related duties.

Security Clearance & Certifications

Clearance : US Citizen with TS / SCI Clearance

Required Certification : Security+

Compensation

Salary : $140,000 - $165,000
