Urology Nurse Practitioner

Provide inpatient neurology and neurointerventional consultations, including initial assessments, daily follow-up evaluations, and coordination of care.

Round daily with the attending neurologist on hospitalized patients, contributing to care plans, diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.

Alternate weekly between inpatient responsibilities and outpatient neurology clinic coverage in collaboration with another APP.

Assist in the evaluation and triage of stroke alerts, participate in acute stroke management, and ensure appropriate documentation and clinical pathway adherence.

Contribute to quality improvement (QI) initiatives, including chart reviews, protocol development, outcome tracking, and performance improvement plans.

Support efforts to maintain and enhance Primary Stroke Center and Thrombectomy Certification, including participation in surveys, audits, and data collection / reporting.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, radiology, rehabilitation, case management, and ancillary staff.
