Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Enter and verify invoices, ensuring accurate purchase order matching and proper general ledger coding
- Maintain complete and accurate vendor records
- Communicate with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Process 1099 forms for recipients annually
- Verify departmental inventory records
- Assist with month-end close activities and account verifications
Purchasing
Maintain organized and up-to-date purchasing and receiving recordsGenerate and process purchase orders accurately and promptly; resolve discrepancies as neededCollaborate with departments to ensure adherence to budget guidelinesAddress and resolve supplier quality issues promptlyReceive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and conditionSupport special projects as assignedQualifications
Education & Experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical schoolMinimum of two years related experience and / or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceSkills & Competencies
Strong ability to read and interpret documents, prepare routine reports, and write professional correspondenceEffective verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information when requiredProficiency in accounting principles and mathematical calculations (discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages)Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office Suite, and accounting softwareStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyPhysical Requirements
