A leading AM Law 100 firm with over 1,500 attorneys across 20+ offices, specializing in high‑stakes litigation, corporate transactions, and regulatory matters. They represent Fortune 500 companies, leading private equity funds, and high‑growth enterprises across industries such as technology, healthcare, financial services, and energy.

Role

The General Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor to the firm, overseeing internal legal matters, risk management, compliance, and, in some cases, providing high‑level legal services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Advise the firm on legal risks, including professional liability, conflicts of interest, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure adherence to legal ethics rules, bar association guidelines, and industry standards.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including client engagement agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Manage malpractice claims, ethical complaints, or disputes involving the firm.
• Oversee insurance policies, including professional liability and general business coverage.

Counsel firm leadership on business decisions, such as mergers, acquisitions, or expansion into new practice areas.
