Full Time Courier Delivery Driver – Montgomery

MACS is currently looking for a Full-Time courier delivery driver. We are in need of friendly, customer oriented and safety minded individuals. Delivery drivers must be flexible with scheduling since hours and days will vary.

Job Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Be able to read and write in English
• Possess / maintain valid Alabama driver’s license
• Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen
• Pass / possess / maintain Department of Transportation Certificate of Medical Fitness
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Possess and maintain an acceptable MVR
• Possess and maintain a clean criminal record
• Be familiar with the local area / roads / landmarks
• Be able to read and follow directions / read a map
• Follow all local traffic laws
• Possess good customer relations and communication skills
• Be self-motivated and capable of driving alone for lengths of 6-10 hours at a time
• Drive long distances per Day, 250 – 650 miles, depending on route
• Be able to drive a passenger vehicle
• Be able to safely operate the following vehicle types : economy car, pickup truck, minivan, cargo van
• Be able to lift (with hand truck assistance) : 75 pounds
• Be able to drive after dark
• Be flexible with work schedule / acceptable to change
• Be familiar with overall vehicle operations and simple repairs while on the road. Thoroughly check assigned vehicle’s fluids, tire pressure, etc. When necessary (at MACS cost) be knowledgeable and physically able to change a tire if needed.
• Follow all local and state traffic laws in areas traveled
• Meet or exceed ALL Deadlines with a 98% on-time accuracy
• Be trained and knowledgeable on blood borne pathogen shipments
• MACS is responsible for initial training prior to employee’s handling of blood borne pathogens.
• After initial training, MACS re-trains each employee annually.
• MACS offers each employee involved in blood borne pathogen shipments free Hepatitis B Vaccinations.
• Successfully pass a STA background check with TSA.
• Be trained, familiar and pass TSA testing on handling packages with the airlines.
