Job description

Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary : The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists licensed nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care. They will complete their tasks / duties under the supervision and direction of an assigned Registered Nurse (RN) and / or the Charge RN. CNA works with and supports the nursing team in providing services, which meets the patients and unit needs. All tasks will be carried out according to patient and family needs in relation to age-specific and age-appropriate levels of care.

Basic Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or clinical outpatient setting.

Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.

Education : High school diploma or GED.

License, Certification, Registration : Certified Nurse Assistant (California) + Basic Life Support

Location : San Diego, California

Notes : This position works every other weekend. Scheduled work hours per week will be 20-32.
