Job Summary
This position will provide site specific engineering support to operations personnel. The contributorwill;implement test and process equipment, provide training on the use of equipment and be instrumental in the maintenance and benchmarking of the process equipment. The overall goal is to reduce the cost of quality and remanufacturing of Dorman products.
Primary Duties
- Support engineering efforts at headquarters with implementation of new equipment and processes on site
- Conduct experiments to drive process or quality improvements
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify upgrades
- Assist with fixture and equipment development
- Assist with maintenance and upgrades to Dorman developed LabView programming
- Repair broken testing equipment
- Create and implement preventive maintenance programs on process equipment
- Document work instructions
- Conduct and document lean improvements on a continuous basis
- Document and maintain cabling for all testing and data acquisition stations
- Train personnel on the proper use of process equipment and procedure

Knowledgeinthe use of automotive diagnostics tools and general electrical hand toolsBilingual in English and SpanishCapable of using MS Office suite, especially Word and ExcelPhysical Requirement : Capability to lift 20 pounds.Working Conditions : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.Noiselevel is usually moderate.Education / Experience
Associates degree required.0-3 years ofhands onexperience working with electromechanical equipment, electrical wiring and electrical testing equipment.Nearest Major Market : Reno
