• Academy / FTO : $68,329.80
• Step 1 : $73,042.20
• Step 2 : $75,233.50
• Step 3 : $77,490.50
• Step 4 : $79,815.20
• Step 5 : $82,209.60

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is willing to hire and sponsor the right candidate through a Colorado P.O.S.T. Academy.

Additional pay potential for fluency in Spanish, degrees in postsecondary education, certified field training officer, and other training certificates.

Position Summary

The Patrol Deputy serves in a highly responsible and visible capacity in the protection of life and property, preserves the public peace, prevents crimes, arrests violators of the law, enforces all laws and ordinances and performs other related work as required or assigned. Deputies are expected to use the minimum force necessary to carry out their duties and are required to handle a variety of potentially volatile and dangerous situations in a calm, confident and effective manner.
